Nansel, Marion "M.E.", 79, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Saturday December 26, 2020 at his home in Wichita. M.E. was born the son of Raymond and Pearl Nansel on January 26, 1941 in Kossuth County, Iowa. M.E. and Joyce Nansel were united in marriage on August 20, 1961 in Gate, Oklahoma. M.E. pastored for 32 years and filled pulpits after his retirement. After retirement M.E. worked for Hillside Funeral Home. As a young man he enjoyed sports and exceled at Football and Track. M.E. was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Nola Jones, Marvin Nansel, Shirley McCarty, Marlo Nansel. Survivors include his loving wife; Joyce Nansel, children; Ruth (Leon) Heidebrecht, Michael (Tonja) Nansel, Mark (Nikki) Nansel, grandchildren; Stephen Heidebrecht, Aaron (Alex) Heidebrecht, Sara (Joseph) Lantz, Rachel (Dusty) Barnes, Luke Nansel and 2 great-grandchildren. Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday January 2, 2021 at West Side Church of the Nazarene, 2300 S. Seneca St., Wichita, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to West Side Church of the Nazarene or Encompass Home Health and Hospice. If you choose to send flowers, please send them to the church Saturday between 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
