Marjorie Ann Schoenhofer, 93, former Restaurant Owner of Springs Fried Chicken in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022. She was born in El Dorado, Kansas on January 16, 1929 to Henry Virgil Morse and Frances Vella Hunter. She is survived by her sons: Karl, Phil (Sharon), Don Schoenhofer, all of Wichita; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Marge married the love of her life, Larry Schoenhofer, on November 5, 1950. Larry was recalled to active duty during the Korean Conflict, and stationed on Guam where Marge joined him. After the war, they returned to Kansas. Marge went to work at Lawrence Photo while Larry was co-owner of the local KFC chain. In 1975 they moved to Eureka Springs, Arkansas and opened their Springs Fried Chicken. In 2015 they moved back to Wichita to be with family and closer to services. Rosary: 7 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2022; Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2022, both at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 3642 N. Ridge Road, Wichita, Kansas 67205. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
