Mark A Crawford

Mark Allen Crawford, 69, of Wichita, KS passed away on March 15, 2026 at Harry Hines Memorial Hospice Center. Mark was born on August 12, 1956 in Wichita, KS to Mr. Hugh Crawford and Mrs. Dorothy (Babcock) Crawford.

Mark was a man of few words but profound love for his family and friends. His early years were shaped by his close family which changed dramatically in high school following the death of his father. Mark started his career at that time, working as a machinist for over 50 years. He provided for his young family with his union job. Mark was an avid sportsman, playing softball and basketball any chance he had. He was quick to crack a joke and loved a good prank. Everyone who knew Mark would attest to his generous spirit, always willing to offer a helping hand. Mark never tired of riding his Harley, which he rode all year and across country. We know he is riding strong on his final ride.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Stephanie (Ryan) Crawford, his three children Marcus Crawford, Jeffrey Crawford (Davna), and Heather Crawford (Melanie), his two step daughters, Samantha Lytle and Veanna Lytle, and his bonus daughter Charlotte Peura. Mark has five granddaughters, Konstence, Feliciti (Thomas), Aryana, Ava, and Hanna and three grandsons, Chris, Anthony, and Destry. He loved his 6 great-grandchildren, C.J. , Raquel, Fletcher, Zelma, Ana'Lliyah, and  baby Mitchell (still on the way).  Mark has one sister Carla Boone (Don) and mother in law Kathy Lytle. His dogs Thunder and Snow were the light of his life.

A memorial Celebration of Mark's life will be held at Hillside Funeral Home West (2929 W. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS) on Monday March 23, 2026 at 1 p.m. Flowers may be sent to the mortuary or donations made in his honor to Harry Hines Hospice.
