

Nakita Ann Allmon passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on June 19, 1955, in Wichita, Kansas, she was a generous, beloved, compassionate, humorous, honest, and selfless individual who touched the lives of many.
In her early life, Nakita grew up in the Bridgeport Community, where she made many life-long friends. She had four sisters and one brother, and from a young age, she was actively involved in fighting for social justice causes. Nakita was immensely proud of her Cherokee heritage, which played a significant role throughout her life.
Nakita was blessed with a large and loving family. She had seven children and over 30 grandchildren and great-grandchildren (take that Carlotta!), who she adored and was devoted to. Being "Nisi" was her favorite job, and she cherished every moment spent with her family.
Her personal interests included a love for holidays and any reason to celebrate. Nakita had a passion for buying gifts for people and took great joy in watching her grandchildren in their activities, always seeking quality time with them.
Nakita was active in her native community and took pride in her Cherokee heritage. She believed in making the world a better place and worked tirelessly to do so.
Nakita will be remembered for her selfless dedication to her family and community, her unwavering honesty, and her generous spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
