Ruth Ann (Hendrixson) Boes, age 89 of Wichita passed away November 13, 2021. Ruth Ann Hendrixson was born June 23, 1932 in Anness, Kansas. She grew up in Cheney, Kansas and graduated from Cheney High School. Ruth Ann married Wilbert F. "Bill" Boes on June 14, 1963. They resided in Overland, Missouri near St. Louis. Upon Bill's death she returned to Kansas, moving to Wichita. Ruth Ann began her career in banking as a teenager in Cheney and later in Wichita. She retired in 1993 from Kansas State Bank and Trust where she served as vice president in funds management for many years. Her faith was very important to her. As a member of Fairview Christian Church she was very active in many different roles including elder and church treasurer. Ruth Ann enjoyed being active, and enjoyed gardening, watching soccer, and reading, especially romance novels. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert F. Boes, parents Emry W. and Anna E. Hendrixson (Cooley); brothers Edward E. (Iva) Hendrixson, Frederick F. (Bernadine) Hendrixson, Merle D. (Mildred) Hendrixson, Lloyd R. (Carmen) Hendrixson, Harry D. (Marlene) Hendrixson, and sisters Lyrah C. (Jack) Pace, Rosa M. Hendrixson, Cora I. (Raymond) Peter, Hazel J. (Eudale) McKay, and Esther M. (Malvern) Crawford. She is survived by nieces and nephews including Sheryl L. Wilson and Douglas Crawford, both of Wichita, and Sandra K. (John) Scranton of Viola. Family Visitation: 3-7 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Hillside Funeral Home, 2929 W. 13th St. N., Wichita. Graveside Service Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Cheney, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, we would like to encourage you to make a donation to the Parkinson's Foundation.
