
Thomas M. Porter, 71, retired welder passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Merle and Kathryn (Burleigh) Porter. Survived by his brother Dr. Robert and his wife Rev. Joan Porter, nephews Bryon and wife Janell Porter, Dr. Brent and wife Dr. Rebecca Porter, niece Dr. Karin and husband Dr. Tim Williamson, four great nephews and one great niece. Tom was very active in the Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) in his younger years. Tom was an avid WSU Basketball fan. The family wishes to express their gratitude to his attorney and longtime friend, Mr. Timothy E. McKee. Memorial Service 1:30pm, Sat. March 4, 2017 at Hillside Funeral Home West Chapel, 2929 W. 13th, Wichita, KS, the Rev. Dr. Jerry Vogt, officiating. The family will be receiving friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to benefit the Palliative Medicine Division Legacy Fund at the University of Kansas Medical Center or the charity of your choice.
