

William (Billy) Charles Ray, 53, went to be with his heavenly Father on April 21, 2011. He was born February 10, 1958 in Wesley Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. He graduated from Goddard High School in 1976. He was baptised on March 13, 2011.
Billy worked his way up in the beef packing industry for 27 years leaving that industry as a supervisor. He tried his hand at professional tree trimming and mobile home construction. He spent his later years helping his brother and nephew in their trucking businesses and caring for his youngest daughter.
His hobbies included bowling, traveling with his family, motorcycle trips with his son, fishing, talking about fishing and planning fishing trips.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 20 years, Barbara Lynn (Kleinschmidt) Ray, children Brandon Duane Ray, BreAnna Louise Ray and Teegan Ayissa Ray; granddaughter Emaleigh Madisyn Ray Tull; his parents William Thomas Ray and Juanita Francis (Clark) Ray, his brothers Steven Thomas Ray, Richard Wayne Ray and wife Jennifer, David Alan Ray and wife Kim and Johnny Clark Ray; sisters Arlinda Sue Lashbrook and husband Randy, Mary Catherine Preston and husband Michael, Barbara Jean Dickerson, Tammie Lynn Chappelle and Rhonda Jane Snelling and husband Tim.
Billy died doing exactly what he loved doing most.
Memorials: Teegan Ray College fund, c/o Hillside West, 2929 W. 13th St. North, Wichita, KS 67203. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, April 25 with services 11:00 a.m. Tuesday both at Hillside West.
