She is predeceased by her parents Elbert and Della "Lena" Kerr, her brother Otis Kerr, and sister Estel Lambeth.
She is survived by her children, Arletha (Mike) Farrell, Randall (Lynda) Slusser and Charla Geier all close to Wichita and her Sister Janice Hooper in Indiana.
Zella has grandchildren including Matthew Johnson, Jared Slusser, Katy Slusser, Rebecca Geier, Stephanie Lee, and David Geier. She also has 10 great grandchildren.
Zella was born in 1930 to Elbert and Della (Lena) Kerr in Macks Creek, Mo. She married Charles Slusser, in 1947 and they moved to Wichita then together they raised 3 children until his death in 1967. She began her career in the food industry and continued to raise her children.
She married Bobbie Robinson in 1973, continued to work until she retired from Dillon's Meat department, and she and Bobbie enjoyed traveling, collecting pottery (and other stuff), and attending concerts together. Bobbie died in 2009 and Zella lived mostly in Wichita until her death.
Zella's hobbies included quilting, crocheting, antiquing, cooking and baking, reading true crime books, and gardening, especially flowers.
She was thoughtful and kind, loved taking care of people, and was always 'adopting' neighbors and friends and bringing them good things to eat, giving little old ladies new pajamas and robes, and making sure friends had books she thought they might enjoy.
Zella lived a good long life with joy and humor even in the tough spots. She was a wonderful mother and we will miss her.
