Franchee Harmon, 51, of Chicago, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 8 from cancer. Daughter of Catherine Harmon and the late Henry Harmon, Franchee is survived by her siblings Charlesetta Griffin, Michael Johnson, Kasandra Johnson, Patricia Johnson, Anthony Harmon, and Henry Harmon, and by numerous nieces and nephews, to whom she was a beloved mentor and source of strength and inspiration.
Franchee received her MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, her bachelor’s degree from Bradley University’s School of Engineering and Technology and at the time of her death was a doctoral candidate in Organizational Development at Benedictine University. Prior to her current position as the Executive Vice President of the Center for High Performance in Chicago, Franchee was the Director of Strategy and Corporate Development for The Crucible Corporation, a venture capital fund in Dublin, Ireland, and a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers in London, England for ten years.
A memorial service celebrating Franchee's life will be held on Sunday May 19 at 2pm at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 2335 N. Orchard St. Chicago, Il 60614, with the repast immediately following at Eugenie Terrace 1730 N. Clark St. Chicago, Il 60614.
