God be with Susan's family during this trying time!!!!!

Praying for the family. Susan was a very sweet lady.I lived in Sunset Park near her and also went to school with her. May she RIP....

I was her husband and best friend for 25 years and dated her for a year before getting married. I really appreciate all the wonderful remembrances of her. May GOD bless each and one of all who's life she impacted. Love to all as she smiles down on us.

There are 3 classes of families, one you are born into, another the others you choose your profession ( in law enforcement one large family ) and as Christians the church family.With Susan she was blessed with all 3 wonderfull families. Romans chapter 13 sums it up she was a minister

I  am so glad to have met this awesome woman. I did her hair for the past couple of years, we had some wonderful  conversationa and laughter time

Susan will be greatly missed.  I was privileged to work with Susan from 1996 until 2006 through different assignments.  She was a great partner who always had your back and was a wounderful supervisor.  As the Deputy Director of the North Carolina Justice Academy many things Susan taught me have played into my success!  Many times I think of things Susan said and many times I wonder what Susan would do?   I'm sure Susan is racing a really fast Camaro down a dragstrip in heaven as she is watching over each of us!  I was on my way from Asheville to see her when I got the news, but she knew what an impact she made on so many lives and she was extremely humble with a smile that never ended!  May god watch over all the family and many friends during their time of need.  We all loved you Susan and you affected each of us in only a way You could!

My path with the Sheriff's office began with this special woman. Her message to me keep that smile an you will have a long career. She will be missed in so many ways. I pray for every one but a special prayer to her loving family.

When I started in CSI, she was my first partner in crime. She taught me a lot and we worked hard as a team with Larry Hines. A great friend, co-worker, you will be missed!

I had the privilege of working with Susan for 6 yrs at NHCSO..I worked in 911 and whenever we talked she always had a beautiful smile or some laughter for the day..For the Family..I know that this isn't easy but you have the assurance that she left this world behind with a great legacy for the people who knew her and you all can be proud of this...The best thing that you can keep remembering is that Heaven just became a little better now that she entered those gates and "I Can Only Imagine" what her eyes were filled with as she looked upon the face of her Lord and Saviour..God's love and peace I send you all in this most difficult time...

Susan worked under my command in different positions and at times.  She was always a complete joy to work with.  To me she was one of the best of the best.  But most importantly Susan was my friend.  May God Bless............

I am so sorry for your loss of such a wonderful lady. Olivia, her niece, always spoke so highly of her and with much love.  May the Lord comfort you as you remember her and may you rejoice with her as she is in the presence of the Lord and completely healed.

So sorry to hear this. Susan was in my first class as a new teacher at Sunset Park Elementary. The Blanton family was always so supportive. She was a special young lady.

I am so glad that after many years we were able to reconnect on Facebook. I grew up from elementary school on with Susan and will always remember her sweetness, her easy temperament and her friendship. *RIP*, Susan!! Rest well in the arms of Jesus. I look forward to seeing you again in Heaven. My love and prayers go out to her family during this time of grief and sadness.

So sorry to hear of Susan's passing.  The family was my neighbor in Sunset Park.  Can still see the three children playing and coming over to the house. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

As a member of The Law Enforcement Community in the county I had the privilege of working with Susan for many years. I found her to be a hard working person and it was a pleasure to know and work with her She is gone but will not be forgotten by those who knew her.

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.

I will always remember Susan driving Toi, me, and another friend to high school in her yellow Mustang!  My condolences to her family for their loss.
