Genevieve Manfredi

Born Genevieve Lucille Scarpati, September 11, 1943 to Joseph Scarpati, Sr. and Lucia (Mastropietro) Scarpati, she graduated from Wilby H.S. and was a life-long resident of Waterbury, spending over 60 years in a home where she raised her children and cared for her mother, Lucy, with love, integrity and courage.

Gen had an engineering mind, a love of numbers and a knack for precision, traits she put to use working in production and in administrative roles of the manufacturing industry. She was employed for several years at KIP, General Data Comm and Chemtura Corporation before her retirement. Up until recently she spent over 10 years working for the Waterbury Public School System where she made many new friends.

Gen’s family, friends and pets were lucky to have her in their corner as she committed her heart completely to them and she valued those closest to her. Upon retirement, she was able to spend time making memories with her grandchildren and her late brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Lore Scarpati whom she visited often in South Carolina.

She was a skilled crafter, gardener and cook, and was a spirited team member on multiple bowling leagues over the years. Spring meant the onset of NY Yankee baseball season and Summer meant more time pool-side with the grandkids and fur babies.

She leaves behind her children, Judy Conroy, her husband Peter Conroy, Michael Manfredi with whom she shared her home and Gina Manfredi Boisvert, three granddaughters whom she adored, Kaylee Boisvert, Tyler Conroy and Jessica Boisvert.

A visitation for Genevieve will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 690 Woodtick Road, Wolcott, CT 06716. Interment will be privately held with her immediate family.
