Patricia Davis

Patricia J. (Chavanick) Davis, R.N., M.S.N., APRN- BC, FNP 77, of Wolcott, beloved wife of Donald Davis Jr., passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 31, 2023 at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden. Patricia was born in Waterbury March 3, 1945 to parents Jack and Helen (Kooptus) Chavanick. Alongside her loving husband Donald of 59 years, she is survived by her three children, Donald Davis III and “special daughter” Michelle Bellemare of Waterbury, Jennifer Getchell and her husband Lou of Bristol, and Christene Berardelli of Denver, PA. Patricia was a doting grandmother to Larissa, Anthony, Gabriella, Kimberly, Kristine, Michael and Angela. She is also survived by her brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Chavanick and his wife Sue of FL. Patricia was predeceased by her infant son Wayne and by her brothers, Jack and Paul.

At age 39 Patricia began the lofty goal of becoming a distinguished Nurse. In 1984 she began this journey at Mattatuck Community College and diligently pursued her education. Earning multiple degrees and certifications including a M.S. from St. Joseph’s College and her APRN, BC, FNP from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Patricia’s dedication to serving those in need was evident in her 28 year career span with professional positions at Midstate Medical Center as a Cardiac Critical Care and Emergency Services R.N. and South Central Rehabilitation Center. Patricia also held positions at Yale as Adjunct Clinical Instructor, while also contributing to research with Published Literature. Patricia concluded her career with contributions to the substance abuse community through work with Medoptions Behavioral Health and Waterbury Methadone Clinic. Patricia spent all of her leisure time with her best friend and husband Donald. They would often Antique and share their treasures at their booth in the Collinsville Antique Company, New Hartford, CT. They spent several years building a beautiful log cabin in Campobello, NB where they shared their dreams. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.

Calling hours for Patricia will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a service at 4:00 PM in the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 690 Woodtick Road, Wolcott, CT 06716.
