Robert Scott Brown, 52, of Wolcott, passed away unexpectedly after suffering a long term illness on October 31, 2023. Scott was born on November 6, 1970, in Waterbury, a son of Robert D. Brown and Joyce (Dube) Swoditch.
Scott was a lifelong resident of Wolcott, where he was an Independent Contractor of masonry and landscaping services. Scott had a passion for fishing Cape Cod, the beach, masonry, stonework, and landscaping. He had a creative and talented mind, as an artist making carvings and drawings, and mechanically inclined that he could fix anything. He was a caring and helpful spirit often lending his time, energy and talents to anyone in need. He had a deep admiration and love for his mother Joyce, whom in her time of need, he was unwavering with his dedication to taking care of her and her many personal everyday needs.
Scott will be dearly missed by his mother Joyce Swoditch of Wolcott, brothers Bruce Brown and his wife Janet of Thomaston, Thomas Brown of Terryville, sister Nancy Brown of Naples FL., nieces, nephews and their spouses, Joseph Brown and his wife Rachel, Christina Adajian and her husband Nathan, Rachael Glazner and her husband Bryce Caughron and Jeff Glazner and Hannah.
He is predeceased by his wife Kathleen Brown, father Robert, brothers David and Fred.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 3rd, 5-8 P.M. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 690 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. His Funeral Liturgy will be on Saturday, November 4th at 12 noon, at St. Basil the Great Parish - St. Pius X Church, 517 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. Everyone is asked to meet at church.
