Stanton F. Burns

Stanton was born February 20th, 1939 in the town of Nobleboro, Maine, son of the late Merton and Elizabeth (Mank) Burns. He was married to Wanda Sue (Thomas) Burns in September, 1960 who preceded him in death.

Stanton was a retired Chief of the U.S. Navy. After retiring from the Navy he worked as a welder at Superior Electric. He enjoyed golf, traveling to Maine and Texas, and being around his family and friends.

Survivors include his two children Merton Burns, and Robbin (Robert) Decosmo. His seven grandchildren include Steven (Kimberly) Burns, Carmine Decosmo, Andew Burns, Melissa (Mykel) Decosmo, Robert (Christina) Decosmo, Jonathan Decosmo, and AnnaMarie Decosmo. His two great-grandchildren include Gabriel and Wyatt.

A celebration of life will be held at the Wolcott Lions Club 245 Wolcott Rd on Thursday January 5th 2023 from 5-8pm. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Spreen St. Framingham, MA 01701, in which Stanton gave to several times a year.
