Terri Lee Badum

Terri was born June 23, 1959 to the late Richard and Marie (Valerio) Richmond in Waterbury. She attended the Wolcott school system where she graduated with honors from Wolcott High School in 1977. Terri then graduated from the St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing as valedictorian of the class of 1982. She began her career in nursing at St. Mary’s Hospital where she worked the night shift. In 1995 Terri transitioned to school nursing in the public and parochial schools of New Britain.

Terri met her husband Rudolph (Rudy) Badum on a blind date in 1981, they were wed in 1983 and went on to have three sons. Terri and Rudy built a beautiful life together in Wolcott where they raised their children, as well as a myriad of pets. Terri was a true animal lover and doted on her late dogs Marmaduke, Riley, and Gizmo.

Throughout daily life Terri would fill her spaces with music, devour novels, and welcomed conversation. She enjoyed days at the beach, concerts, and family vacations. Terri could often be found seeking out new recipes, photographing flowers, and relishing sunsets. She was witty with her humor, rarely defeated in Rummikub, and could always be called upon for advice.

Terri is survived by her husband Rudy and her sons Mark, Chris, and Sean Badum.

Services will be held at St. Pius X Church (517 Woodtick Rd, Wolcott, CT) on Saturday, November 23 at 11:00am followed by a reception at 1:00 pm at East Street Eatery (141 East Street, Wolcott, CT) In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital via www.stjude.org
