Virginia Pandiscia

Virginia (Ginny) C. Pandiscia (84) passed away peacefully at Elim Park on June 24, 2025. Born in Waterbury, CT on November 19, 1940, she was the eldest daughter of the late John J. Jager Jr. and Eva Arvilla (Lake) Jager. Before the passing of her beloved husband Americo B. (Ben) Pandiscia in 2006, Ginny and Ben celebrated 45 years of marriage. She leaves three sons: John J. Pandiscia (Anne), Brian J. Pandiscia, and David M. Pandiscia (Katrina); a sister: Joan Maringola; a step-sister: Debra Franco; seven grandchildren: Eva Pandiscia, Ashley Gawrych (Michael), Emily, Jacob, Julia, Benjamin, and Nathan Pandiscia; a nephew Aaron Goluboff (Tracey); and many nieces and nephews on her husband’s side.

Although a longtime Wolcott resident, Ginny graduated from Wilby High School in 1959. While raising three sons, she went back to school to earn her dental assistant degree from Briarwood College. Throughout her career, she worked at Grants, Sears, St. Mary Hospital’s dental clinic, Alliant Insurance, and JLT Services where she retired in 2012. When Ginny wasn’t working, she enjoyed drinking coffee and traveling with friends, daily phone calls with her sister Joan, crocheting blankets for new babies, playing with her pets, watching Hallmark movies, wearing holiday sweatshirts, making her famous ambrosia fruit salad, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Pius X Church. Her family would like to thank the staff at Elim Park for their loving care.

A funeral home service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 690 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Wolcott.
