Rick Barthelette, loving partner, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin, died suddenly at his home in Red Deer on February 1, 2021 at the age of 51. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his partner Holly and her family, father Lloyd (Jeanette), mother Valerie and dad Peter, sister Angie, brother-in-law Ross, niece Robyn (Marley), nephew Deryk, great nieces Hailie and Ryver and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He is also survived by his two sons, Trevor and Tanner, who he loved dearly.
Rick was predeceased by both his paternal and maternal grandparents and his sweet niece Heather.
Rick had a gentle soul and a heart of gold. He was an avid, self-taught guitar player, music lover and a gifted artist. He was born and raised in Calgary. Early on he spent time travelling across North America with the carnival. Later, he moved to Vancouver Island where he lived for several years before coming back to Alberta and spent his final days in Red Deer.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rick’s memory directly to St. Patrick’s Cemetery or a charity of your choice.
A Memorial Service and interment of his urn will be held at a later date.
