Born March 30, 1945 in New Britain, he was the son of the late Albert and Anne (Bezik) Cambo.
Al was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Air Force. A lifelong resident of Plainville he was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church and served as an altar boy all through high school. He held down many jobs and had a zest for life.
Al was a former Plainville Game Warden, a wildlife conservationist he saved many animals lives throughout the years. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a life member of the NRA. He also loved to fly balloons.
He is survived by his sister, Jane Adriano of Colchester; his nephew Sean Cassano and his niece Sara Cassano. He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Cambo.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 18th at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 19 S. Canal St., Plainville. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Plainville. Calling ours will be prior to the Mass from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N.
