Born and raised in North Carolina, Mr. Thomas came to Maryland at the age of 26. Then, in 1968, he met and married the former Wanda Morgan (nee: Truitt). Together, they settled in Salisbury.
Mr. Thomas worked for several years at Peninsula Press where he worked in various departments to include working with their logistics in Trucking Management. He had also been a member of the Salisbury Jaycee’s. He will be remembered for his cheerful personality. He was truly a “people person.” Mr. Thomas was also an avid sportsman. He enjoyed following all types of sports, including the Redskins, Ravens, and the Tar Heels from his home state of North Carolina in particular.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Lorrine Smith Thomas and William E. Thomas, and 2 brothers Donald and Gene Thomas. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Wanda Thomas; step-sons John and Kenneth Morgan; three step-granddaughters Lynsey, Rebecca, Christine; and 2 step-great grandchildren.
Services will take place privately.
