Amable Solidum Talamera, born on April 7th, 1950. He came from a small town from Janiuay, Iloilo, Philippines, son to Antonio Alave Talamera, SR. and Richarda Vallejo Solidum. He came to the United States at the age of 17 as an exchange student. He worked as a cook and a dishwasher in order to pay his way through college. Amable went to Cal State Los Angeles and earned his Bachelor's degree in Civil Mechanical Engineering. He met his wife, Jessie McMichael through a friend, she is from Iligan City, Lanao Del Norte Philippines, a nurse at the time and worked for Queen of Angels Hospital.
Amable worked at Parson in Pasadena and Fluor in Irvine. He traveled all over the world working on various projects in places such as Kuwait, Saudi, China, Philippines, Georgia, etc. He retired from Fluor at the age of 65. He enjoyed life while getting older, especially enjoying his time in the backyard with his wife Jessie and grandchildren; Jasmyn, Bishop, Calvin, Addyson and Gracie.
Amable is survived by his wife Jessie Lourdes McMichael Talamera, his son Billy Jay Talamera and his daughter Methuselah McMichael Choi.
