Gary attended Collier County schools and graduated in 1965. After graduation he was employed by Out Board Marine for a couple of years before enlisting in the United State Air Force in 1967. Serving proudly from 1967-1971 as an air traffic controller.
After returning home he worked for his dad until 1978 when he established his own business, Tropical Plumbing, which later became Tropical Contracting Co., Inc. In business for 41 years he provided well for his family and they enjoyed many adventures through the years. He enjoyed boating, cars (race and show) go carts, swamp buggies, music and dancing, but most of all he enjoyed family and they were always included in all activities. His dry sense of humor and quick wit were always enjoyment for himself and others. He was a good, honest man and tried to do his best in all things.
