Alberto was born to parents Arnoldo and Etna Badgen on June 10, 1955, in Chaco, Argentina. Alberto graduated from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional in Buenos Aires with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1982, he moved his family to Los Angeles to raise them in a democratic and free country. He was with Moore Industries for almost 30 years, retiring in 2017 as the Director of Manufacturing.
Alberto loved to travel and explore the unknown. From numerous trips abroad to driving from LA to Argentina to chasing hurricanes, no adventure was too small. He loved watching Formula 1 and numerous other sports, especially cheering on his favorite soccer team (San Lorenzo) and NBA team (LA Clippers). He spent his retirement enjoying time with his grandkids, going for coffee with Silvia, and BBQing for friends and family.
Most importantly, Alberto was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Silvia, daughters Gaby (Matt) and Melanie, sister Vicky (Jorge) and two precious grandchildren (Edward and Alexander). In addition, Alberto was loved by his nieces, nephews, and extended family. A kind and generous spirit, he was always there for his family through the ups and downs, and taught them to enjoy every moment life has to offer.
He will be dearly missed by those who knew him best.
The family will be having a small service at Eden Memorial Park in Mission Hills on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 2:00 pm. For those who would like to join the funeral virtually, a Zoom room will be opened prior to the funeral. Please use the following link to attend virtually:
