He was born to the late Armand and Leanne (Chassee) Charette in Biddeford, Maine.
Chic was a proud veteran of The United States Navy serving in WWII. He worked at Maur-Mel Automatics for many years before retiring from the Wolcott Board of Education. Chic loved baseball, listening to music on his deck, and trips to Cape Cod and Florida with his loving wife, but his greatest joy was spending time with family.
He is survived by his children: Robert Charette and his wife Barbara of Westbrook, Arthur “Ty” Charette and his wife Lori of Wolcott, and Leanne Fallon and her husband Richard of Bethany; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren whom he adored.
Besides his wife Claire, he was predeceased by his son Alban “Pepper” Charette, his brothers Maurice Charette, Melford Charette, Guy Charette and Robert Charette, and his sister Irene Bisaillon.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 9-10:30am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 690 Woodtick Rd, Wolcott followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius Church, 525 Woodtick Rd, Wolcott at 11am. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, Wolcott. Social distancing and masks are required at all times.
