Marjorie A. "Margie" Ferrell, 86, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Wednesday March 24, 2021 in Wichita. Margie was born the daughter of Jesse and Annie Leeman on August 31, 1934 in Maysville, Arkansas. Margie and Teddy S. Ferrell were united in marriage on October 5, 1952 in Cherokee, Oklahoma. Margie received her Master's Degree in Education and Library Science from WSU. She taught high school English in Udall and Mulvane, Kansas, she retired in 1994. She was a lifelong member of the East Point Church of Christ and was active in teaching Bible Class and in the Ladies Bible Class. She was active in book club with her friends. She was always reading two to three books at a time and the bible daily. She enjoyed making quilts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; Ervin (Jeanne) Leeman, Dorothy (Charles) Siler, Mary (Don) Brining, Bill (Juanita) Leeman, son-in-law; R. Lynn Benton. Survivors include her husband of 68 years; Teddy S. Ferrell, children; Rodger (Juanita) Ferrell, Steven Ferrell, Tonias Benton, grandchildren; Heather (Gerald) Shoppe, Anna (Darren) Lawrence, Mary (Jordan) Stover, Aaron (Betsy) Benton, Sarah (Jason) VenJohn, Tyler (Hannah) Benton and 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday March 27, 2021 at East Point Church of Christ, 747 N. 127th St. E., Wichita, Kansas. Burial will follow at Byron Amorita Cemetery in Byron, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the East Point Church of Christ, ZOP program or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
