Sifaleula was born in Ta'u Manu'a Island, American Samoa. She was first raised by her grandmother Sinautumea Filitaula, and then lived with other relatives before coming to live in Seattle, WA in 1967, where she stayed with her Aunt Fagalupe Mana’o and family. She has 11 siblings. Her 6 sisters are: Lalovi, Sinaaualo, Puaolagi, Pepe, Fa'animo, and Itumalo. Her 5 brothers are: Galumalemana, Alofisula, Solo, Uatoivao, and Feauali'I.
In 1975, Sifaleula met her future husband, George Vernon. They moved in together in his house on Beacon Hill, and she worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. She was blessed with four children, three daughters, Christina, Kathy and Sinautumea and one son, Sonny. Another blessing for Sifaleula was the gift of six grandchildren, Sanae, MarQuise, Gizele, Olivia, Amina and Karaia.
Sifaleula enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were family, Bingo, going to the casino, playing her games on her tablet, and watching her crime shows. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others. Especially the casino.
Sifaleula passed away on March 21, 2021 at her home in Kent, WA and is reunited with her husband, George Vernon. She is survived by all her children and grandchildren, and her siblings-Lalovi, Sinaaualo, Puaolagi, Pepe, Fa'animo, Itumalo, Alofisula, and Feauali'I. She will be missed.
