She was born in Orlando on June 6, 1956 to Elma Marie (Cohen) Burleson and the late George Jerome Burleson.
Gail’s career as a bank teller at Citizen’s Bank introduced her to her husband, John, the love of her life, and several very endeared friendships lasting all her life.
Gail spent her personal time enjoying their home, fresh flowers, baking, and getting out to shop a bit. One year, her skilled baking gained her a win at the Taste of Oviedo with her Walnut Orange Coffee Cake.
Gail dearly loved her family, and all children, especially the children of her nieces and nephews. She had a strong affection for dogs and in particular, her dog, Chaz. Her affection for animals included raising an orphaned calf.
Despite the prevailing health challenges that confined her close to home in recent years, Gail will always be remembered for her giving heart, her laugh, her warmth, and her strong love for her husband and family.
Gail was preceded in death by her dad, George Jerome Burleson.
She is survived by her devoted husband, John Beckley Lee; sons, Justin Alen Lee and Jeffrey Kyle Lee and his son, Jason; her mother, Elma Marie Cohen Burleson; her brother, Mark Jerome Burleson (Sunday Graham Burleson); and numerous cherished nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home in Oviedo, with a Visitation on Monday evening, April 5, 2021 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at 501 E. Mitchell Hammock Road, Oviedo, Florida. Gail will be laid to rest privately at the Oviedo Methodist Cemetery.
