Leonard Mann passed away peacefully at home with family and caregivers on April first, moments before dusk, which was his favorite time of day. An April Fool’s day prankster, coach, entrepreneur, husband, father of four, grandfather of four, uncle, cousin, and friend, he lived a full 92 years surrounded by love and laughter. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, our dear Ellie Mann, whose devotion and love remain unparalleled. Len is also survived by his little sister, Sara Hyman, whose kindness and support kept him smiling. Len was funny, smart, mischievous, generous, fierce, kind, hard-working, and as loyal as can be. He lived a long and beautiful 92 years with love and tender care from his wife, children, grandkids, and caregivers. Our wonderful Jefferson Libao was at his side for the last six years, sharing in a special bond of friendship and sacrifice. We will never be able to fully repay his service to both Len and Ellie. Jess Francisco helped weekends for the past two years, and he did so with extraordinary skill and kindness. We have the deepest gratitude for them both. Len adored his four kids: Linda Faherty Mann and Mike Faherty, Cindy and Scot Simmons, Bill Mann and Katie Kalivas, Kirk Mann, and his four grandchildren: Caitlin Simmons, Jenna Mann, Sam Mann, and Annabelle Mann. Len was bigger than life and always had a twinkle in his deep blue eyes. He helped and mentored many during his life and gave all of himself in the service of others. He loved and cared for his entire extended family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
