Deane Charles Bennett, born September 22nd, 1943 was lifted to rest April 3rd, 2021. He passed with the presence of his loving family by his side. The delicate body of our dearest, at the hands of non-alcoholic chronic pancreatitis, will forever rest in peace.
Deane graduated from Long Branch High School in 1964 and worked for New Jersey Natural Gas as a Meter Reader, Fort Pierce Utility as a Service Technician then later in Meter Calibration, and retired from New Jersey Natural Gas as a Service Technician. In the 1960’s he was an active member of the Long Branch Volunteer Fire Department Station 117, and Surrey Downs Board of Directors in Howell Township, New Jersey.
Deane was a family man; his quiet strength comforted all of those around him. He enjoyed car racing, fishing and bowling, and easily made friends wherever he went. His celebration of life through his gift of hard work, symbolizes his integrity, love, affection and generous nature toward others. He was a friend to many and his friendships lasted a lifetime. He is admired to the end for his devotion to those who knew him.
Deane is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Arthur Bennett and Lois Elizabeth Pullen, his three brothers, Richard, Noel and Alan and his youngest daughter Jennifer Jean Bennett.
He is survived by an expansive loving family to include his wife of 47 years Flora Teresa Earley, son Brandon (Lisa) and daughter Alana (Christian), son Jimmy (Sherry), and son Chris (Kerry), his eight grandchildren and his five great grandchildren. His family wishes to extend a special thank you to the many people so meaningful in his life, those not listed, who have provided a wealth of love and comfort to Deane.
A celebration of life will be held at Deane and Flora's home on Saturday, May 29th, 2021 from noon to 4pm, please RSVP by Wednesday May 26th, 2021 with Brandon Bennett at (772) 528-6466.
