Born December 25th, 1961 in Henderson, NV. Died April 6th, 2021 of late stage pancreatic
cancer. Although he died here in the city of his birth, the years between saw him living in and
visiting many other places around the US and the world.
Russ spent his high school years in Hurricane, Utah. He grew to love music and motorcycles.
These hobbies he enjoyed the rest of his life and made him many close friends. After marrying
his wife Carrie, Russ desired to be a good father and provider, and pursued a career in
computer technology, leading him to various jobs doing I.T. and engineer management for
companies like The Four Seasons, Allegiant Air, and most recently The Tuscany resort in Las
Vegas. Always up for an adventure, Russ was always eager for things like a motorcycle trip with
no set destination, trying new exotic foods, or exploring a lesser known hike. He even wrote a
book once, just because he wanted to, called Riding Shorts: Real Riding Adventures Through
the Southwest.
Russ’s approach to life and devotion to God was a great example to his family that has survived
him. He is survived by his wife Carrie (Morgo) Ketchum, his children Elizabeth, Peyton, Andrew,
Ryan, and his grandchildren Lily, Darren, Finn, Layla and Ella.
