Gaylon B. Hall, age 86, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. A graveside service for Gaylon will be held Friday, April 9, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Hyw 431 North, Phenix City, AL.
Gaylon was born June 9, 1934 in Wheelock, Vermont to Helen Burns Hall and Henry Hall. While attending college, he was drafted into the US Army where he served his country proudly for 2 years. He met and married the love of his life, and settled here in Phenix City. He was a “Jack of all Trades” and was retired as Maintenance General Foreman at Columbus Foundry. Gaylon was a hard working provider for his family. He taught them the value of family. Gaylon wasn’t all work, he was a NASCAR (Dale Earnheart) fan, loved collecting Garfield, laughing at old comedy shows and joking with his grandchildren. Gaylon will always be remembered as a selfless man who never said no to someone needing help.
Gaylon was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jane Hall; son Gaylon Hall, Jr. (Cherri); daughter Melonie Hall Marshall (David); and son Shane Hall; ; brothers Ernest Lapierre and Fredrick Hall; grandsons Joshua Nowell, Jason Hall, Brandon Hall (Tiffani), great grandchildren Angel Kite, Skyler Somers, Brianna Ellis, Kloe and Hunter Hall; fur babies Katie, Yankee and Mohawk; other family members and many friends.
