As a young teenager the family moved to Los Angeles, California. At seventeen he signed up for the United States Navy and was deployed to Vietnam. After four years in the Navy, he married his Navy buddy’s sister, Susan. Frank and Susan were married on May 17th 1969 and moved from Los Angeles to Montana where they lived for a year and had their first son.
They moved back to Los Angeles and Frank joined the Los Angeles Police Department. After thirty years of police work and four more children, he retired and worked for The Department of Justice of California. Retiring again he spent time in Texas and California enjoying his time in both places with numerous family members and friends.
Frank is survived by his wife Susan, his sons Paul, Jamie, Frank, Anthony and his daughter Jessica; his daughter- in- law Bre, and his five grandchildren, Matty, Frankie, Mia, Bowie, and Faith. He is also survived by his brother Charles, his two sisters Patricia and Julie as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers Funeral Home on May 10, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 a.m. On May 11, 2021, the Funeral Procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. for a 9:45 a.m. Requiem Mass at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
