Jean-Paul Leon Roy passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the age of 87.
Jean-Paul loved to lose the shirt off his back playing crib. He also loved to watch the Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs on TV with a bag of chips. He was an avid bowler at Presto-Lanes, then Dickson Bowl. Jean-Paul will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Marie Roy. Also left to mourn his passing are his brother Normand (Mildred), sisters Lucy (George), Claire (late Marcel), and Theresa (late Donald), children Marc (Sharon), Luc (Carolyn), Paulette, Remi (late Shelley), Pierrette (Joe), Jean-Guy, Matthieu (Jessica), and Annette (Brian), several grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by many brothers and sisters. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 18th from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Each guest must reserve a 15-minute time block during which they may attend the visitation, which will be available online through the funeral home’s website. Cremation will take place, and a private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Clement’s Church with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Clement’s Church or the Alzheimer’s Society.
