Former Scottsbluff, Nebraska resident and entrepreneur, Nancy (Platz) McGlone, entered into rest April 17, 2021, following a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease at the Clear Creek Care Center in Westminster, Colorado, three days short of her 83rd birthday.
Edna Nancy Fultz was born April 20, 1938 to James “Homer” and Iona Mae “Rusty” Fultz in Centralia, Washington and grew up in Moses Lake, Washington. Nancy married Gus Platz and moved to Scottsbluff in 1963. They had two daughters, Tamara Lynn and Jama Lynn.
Gus and Nancy were well-known in the Scottsbluff community as the owners and operators of The Stable Club 1967-1979. Nancy went on to manage the Boot Hill Night Clubs in Gillette, Wyoming and Rapid City, South Dakota until 1988. Nancy then moved to Boulder, Colorado to be near her daughters and grandsons.
Nancy was actively involved and was once the acting president, of the Panhandle Humane Society in Scottsbluff. She never met a dog or cat that she didn’t like. Nancy’s utmost passions were her dogs and her gardens.
Nancy was also actively involved in the Scottsbluff and Gillette Chamber’s of Commerce as well as the American Heart Association.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Rusty Fultz, her brother, Jim Fultz and her daughter, Jama Platz Laeyt.
She is survived by her daughter, Tami Platz Kramer, of Westminster, Colorado, grandsons Sean Kramer (Kyley) of Thornton, Colorado, Nick Kramer (Bernadette) of Dacono, Colorado, Vincent Kramer of Commerce City, Colorado, great grandsons, Blake and Preston Kramer, sons of Sean and Kyley, her niece, Tracy Rae Fultz of Shoreline, Washington, as well as her beloved Yorkie, Toby, now in the loving care of Tami and Crosby. She will be desperately missed by her long-time loving partner, Ernie Marine, of Firestone, Colorado. Nancy has five beloved grand dogs, Cozmo, Crosby, Layla, Lebowski and Ronan.
