Ociel was born on July 26, 1959, in Catija Michoacan, Mexico to Maria Vargas Valencia and Secundino Valencia. He was the owner and operator of M.S. Services which specialized in lawn maintenance. Ociel was raised Catholic and had lived in Port Arthur for over twenty years after moving here from Mexico. He loved working; raising his roosters and spending time with his family who he loved dearly.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Lopez of Port Arthur; children, Adan Valencia, Raquel Valencia and Manuel Valencia all of Mexico, Ociel Valencia, Alejandro Valencia, Angel Valencia and Jayden Valencia all of Port Arthur; parents, Secundino and Maria Valencia of Port Arthur; eleven brothers and sisters; Tina, Martha, Sandra, Lupita, Tela, Lety, Ruven, Santiago, Jesus, Roberto and Bulmaro; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.
A visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with a Christian Vigil to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 22, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
