Bill was born on September 30, 1941 in Detroit, MI. He met the love of his life, Joan, in calculus class at The University of Toledo, where he earned his Civil Engineering degree in 1963. The college sweethearts got married on August 17, 1963 in Lawrence, IN. Bill started his career at Owens Corning Fiberglass in Kansas City, KS. He retired from Performance Contracting Group in 1998 which led him into co-ownership of Subway, Taco Time, and Surf City Squeeze. On November 14, 1968, November 4, 1978, and September 11, 1980 respectively, he and Joan welcomed their three children, who are the most important part of their life.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, including throwing dinner parties, traveling, sports, playing cards, and trips to the casino. Many fond memories were created in the outdoors while camping and fishing. He was a hard-working businessman who did not let a difficult task stop him from success. Bill was a spiritual man and was involved in many church activities. As a testament to sharing his faith with others, he organized Stations of the Cross and rosary offerings in his new community. His faith was an essential part of his everyday life. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
