She was retired from Sears, where she worked in the catalog department, and she was also a seamstress.
Mabel was preceded in death by her husband Camille, her grandson Christopher, her granddaughter Tara, her parents Voorhies and Hazel Trahan, and her sister Rosa Nell O’Quain.
Survivors include her six children Anthony (Marilyn), V.W. (Jolene), Camille (Sharon), Ronald (Patsy), Nicki, and Gary. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kristie (Chad) Aycock, Marsha (Will) Fults, Ryan Roccaforte, Michelle (Dane) Hollier, and numerous great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister Audrey McClain and two brothers Carol (Susan) Trahan and Kenneth (Sue) Trahan.
Mabel was a loving woman and loved her children and grandchildren more than life itself. She was a strong willed woman and an amazing cook.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 28th from 9-11 am. The funeral service and a celebration of life will follow at 11 am. All will be held at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home. The internment will follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery.
A special thanks to her caregivers Ms Esther Taylor, Ms Elena Rosas and Ms Stacey Mann Hampton for their extreme love and care. Also a special thanks to Kindred Hospice, Kimberly Slayton and Harbor Hospice, Cathy Gohkle.
