Earline was born on September 23, 1930, in Kaplan, Louisiana to Rene and Eloise Broussard. She had lived in Port Arthur/Groves area for 90 years or all of her life and was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Groves. Earline enjoyed painting, sketching and crocheting but was also very active at her church. She was a counselor for the St. Paul Lutheran Church Walther League many years ago. She and Carol Hower started a Pre-school at St. Paul Lutheran Church which evolved into Day Care/Pre-school Program that spanned 45 years. She was also a long time member of the Education Board. Earline was also a member of her church choir and the French choir.
Survivors include her children, Gina Fitts and her fiancé’ Michael Swartout of Groves and Lori Halbert and her husband Wayne Halbert of Groves; grandchildren, David Trove, Jr. of Brookeland, Texas, Shasta Stevens and husband Scott Stevens of Thorndale, Texas, Kris Halbert and wife Melanie of Houston, Texas; great grandchildren, Kyrstyn Roark and husband Colton Roark of Denton, Texas, Bayly Trove of Brookeland, Texas, Carey Stevens, Elliot Stevens, Jared Stevens, Emily Stevens, Jennifer Stevens, Dillon Stevens and Katy Stevens; great-great grandchildren, Jude Roark of Denton, Texas.
A visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2021, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with a Chapel Service to Honor Mrs. Earline Rose Kube at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
Pallbearers include David Trove, Jr., Kris Halbert, Wayne Halbert, Mike Swartout and Jerry Hinson. Serving as an Honorary Pallbearer will be Henry Kube.
