Epluribus Unum Ford, Sr was born on November 11, 1930 to Earnest Ford and Cora Melton Ford in Perry County, AL. He married the love of his life, the former Gloria Delois Jeter on June 5, 1960. He dedicated his life to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on December 22, 1974 and along with his wife, instilled his love for Jehovah into their 3 children as well. Epluribus happily and zealously served as an elder for many decades. After his retirement as a teacher, he served as a full-time pioneer for some 30 years, in which his wife later joined him. The friends in the congregation were family to him and he would do anything for them. He was always proud of his children and never hesitated to tell them so. He was a kindhearted “handyman” who also enjoyed talking about scientific things but he found his greatest joy in talking to anyone he met about Jehovah God and His Kingdom. Those cherishing his memories are his wife, Gloria; son, Epluribus (Monica) Ford, Jr; 2 daughters: LaWanda (Marcus) Miles and Dionne (Herman) Ward, Jr.; a brother, Earl (Bea) Ford and a sister, Ethel Ford and many other relatives and friends.
A Memorial service via Zoom will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 2pm CST.
