He leaves his daughter Debra; grandchildren Chris, Amber, Kristel, Patrick, and Adrian; along with two great grandchildren Bless and JoJo.
He was preceded in death by his spouse Dorothy in 2009 and his daughter Brandi in 2002.
He was born in Brandford, Pennsylvania and enlisted in the U.S. Army for an extensive military career which lead to travels all over the world. His last assignment had him stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas where he later retired after 20 years of service. He always said he fell in love with the weather and the city and decided to stay here and continue raising his family. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 (CW3) only to start another 20+ year career with the Texas Department of Public Safety. After his second retirement he still stayed active and volunteered with the VA and Airborne Club. He enjoyed helping others so much he continued to serve the community as a medic and communications expert with the local DMAT Team. He helped with many disasters from earthquakes in California, hurricanes, and even the aftermath at ground zero from 9/11 in New York. He was also long known in the local community for his service of 18 years with the volunteer Montana Vista Fire Dept.
He lived a fullfilled life and has left lasting memories for his friends and family. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held Tuesday May 11, 2021 at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue from 10:30am-12:30pm with Graveside Services to follow at 1:00pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, Texas.
