On May 12, 2021, Delio Richard Somoza was called to go home to the Lord. Whether you knew him as Del, Dink, Turon Boy, Pogiboy, or Dr. D, he is the same incredible person who made an impact in your life. Delio showed his dedication and resilience through his years at Costco. He put in hard work and yet found time to hide around pallets trying to scare his loved coworkers, or strutting in silly costumes. Every memory with Delio includes laughter. He was a prankster, a well-humored friend, and shamelessly the life of the party. Anyone who entered his life, he kept in his heart and cared for deeply. Aside from his humored antics, he was the rock and protector of his family. Dr. D was and will continue to be a role model to his wife and children. He taught us to be ourselves, push ourselves to be the best we can be, and to enjoy the small things in life. He will remain watching over his five children, Andrew S., Brenden, Dylan, Andrew, and Mia, his diwata of a wife, Lorraine, and his beloved boy, Patience. Although he was the strength of our family, he was a soft, sensitive, loving husband and father. He was never reluctant to show his love for us and he taught us to spread compassion, kindness, and laughter. We will all miss his scares, hugs, contagious Pogiboy smile, his advice, and the feeling of safety he provided.
