Helen Louise Campbell was born January 7, 1937 in Transylvania, Louisiana to the late George Campbell and Aleatha (Brown) Campbell. Helen Aka “Booney” comes from a very large family where six of her siblings have preceded her in death; Leon, Clifton, Joyce, Ruby, Bevelyn and Augusta. Helen inherited the title of the Matriarch in 2019, after the passing of their eldest sister Augusta M. Garry.
Helen moved to Las Vegas in 1959 and worked at the Frontier Hotel for thirty-four years. She met and married Fred Neal Madison, and they raised a blended family of eleven children, four of whom preceded her in death Tony, Christopher, Derryl, and Andre.
Helen confessed and gave her life to Christ at the tender age of seventeen on her daddy’s farm in Sondheimer, Louisiana. Helen was a very strong and caring woman who would give you her last if needed. Although Helen was quiet and soft spoken, she was real to the core, she always said what she meant and meant what she said. She was loved by many and she loved each of them in her own unique way, but most of all she loved and was very protective of her children whom all loved her dearly.
Helen leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her passing; Fred Madison, (7) children Aubrey (Ava) Campbell of Houston, Texas, Kim Campbell, Darryl Madison, Bruce Madison of Las Vegas, NV, LaTonya (Rick) Evans of Athens, Fredericka Madison-Perry (Al) and Shawn Madison of Las Vegas, NV, (27) grandchildren, (29) great-grandchildren (5) Sisters, Almarye Booker of Baton Rouge, LA, Marguerite Bousley of Phoenix, AZ, Regina (Mike) Leary of Monkton, MD, Gail (Firk) Chambers of Houston, TX, Brenda Campbell of San Antonio, TX, one brother, Wendell (Theresa) Campbell of Las Vegas, NV, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
