Anita Sue Alexander was born to Garland and Ruth (Anderson) Harris. She passed away unexpectedly while vacationing in Chelan. She was a vivacious woman who loved life and had an infectious smile and laugh. She was always the life of the party and left an impression on those who were lucky enough to cross paths with her. It seemed that everyone knew and loved Anita!
Anita was born and raised in Everett and graduated from Cascade High School. She spent her career at Boeing in Everett and as a single mother she worked hard to provide an amazing life for her children. She retired to take care of her beloved Mother Ruth and to be “Farmor” and “Mormor” to her grandchildren whom she loved and adored more than anything. She lived to attend their many sports and school events always as their number one fan. Besides spending time with family and friends, her passions were gardening with her daughter, snow skiing, water skiing, and traveling, especially to Lake Chelan and anywhere the sun was shining.
While Anita had more friends than could be counted, she had a group of “besties” that were near and dear to her heart. One of her closest friends and partner-in-crime to this day, whom she met in middle school, is Becky Ostrander. The two of them together were a force to be reckoned with. You couldn’t help but have a good time in the presence of these two. Another group of friends that she has known since middle school and shared many adventures with is Darlene Wade, Lynda Woods, and Kathy Prentice.
She is survived by her brother Gary Harris (Carrol), her son Jared (Michelle), daughter Nicole Jones, grand children Hannah, Hunter, Luke and Aspen, her niece Jessica, and cousins Jean Wasmund, Judissa Anders, Penny Benson and Linda Fuller.
Rest in peace Mom, your heart has touched many and we are forever grateful for the love you shared. Please join us in celebrating Anita’s life on Nov. 7th at 2pm at the Hideaway Lodge B&B in Woodinville.
