Eunice was born in Los Angeles, California, one of seven siblings to Reverend Alphonso and Deaconess Celia Dominguez. She was raised in Fullerton, CA where she was an outstanding majorette, model, and cellist. Eunice graduated from college with a Bachelors Degree then earned her Teaching Credential and her Masters in Educational Administration.
Eunice worked as an admired educator and beloved principal almost 30 years and helped open several elementary schools in Elk Grove Unified School District. After she retired in 1995, she traveled around the world and spent her time with her family and friends, she maintained long-time relationships with weekly brunches, trips to the theater, and family dinners (at which no one was allowed to leave the table until she was finished… and she always finished last). Eunice exhibited more grace than anyone we knew. She valued education, independence, and family above all else, and instilled these values on her teachers, students, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eunice will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Eunice was predeceased by her son, Michael Del Buono, her daughter in-law, Carol Davis, and her siblings, Carmen Cattell, Evelyn Pangborn, Alphonso Dominguez, and Lemuel Dominguez. She is survived by her sons: Carlos and David Del Buono; her grandchildren: Melina, Tasha, Connor, Amy, Sara, and Eric; her great grand-children, Charlie, Cooper, Benjamin, Laylia, and another on the way; her sisters: Mary Alice Braly and Celia Hummel; as well as the families of those mentioned.
