Jerry Willie Guillott, 86, of Houston, beloved husband and father, went home to be with the Lord on October 7, 2021 due to complications arising from COVID. He was in hospice care and had his family with him at his passing.
Jerry was born in Big Cane, Louisiana in 1934. He moved to Houston in 1954 where he met and married his wife of 65 years, Phyllis Wade. Jerry was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa and a friend to many. He worked as an electrician in Houston for many years, retiring in 2006.
Jerry loved spending time with his family and enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling, especially in the mountains. He also loved country music and playing his Gibson guitar. He enjoyed watching westerns, playing Bingo and penny poker, and loved his cats. He was friendly and outgoing, making friends wherever he went, including making new friends at his home of recent years, Brookdale Cypress Station in Houston.
Preceded in death by his parents Rosco N. and Lula Havard Guillott, his brother Paul M. Guillott, and his grandson Andrew R. Stiefler, Jerry is survived by his loving wife Phyllis, son Jerry (Lori) Guillott of Sugar Land, daughter Catherine (Chuck) Cameron of Belleville, Michigan, son Charles (Melanie) Guillott of Magnolia, daughter Nancy (Kurt) Stiefler of Spring, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many other relatives.
Family funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on October 27, 2021 at Earthman
Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas with Rev. Steve Bezner
officiating. Burial will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
