Mary was born September 6, 1954 in Beckley, WV; she was the daughter of the late Junior Milam, and Pearl Milam of Sophia, WV.
Mary was married 40 years to the late Patton Hylton. She leaves behind two loving daughters and their families. Patricia Fraley of Crab Orchard and her husband, James Fraley, and granddaughter, Elisha Fraley; also Angie Harrah of Beckley, her husband, Matt Harrah, and granddaughter, Abigail Harrah; six late siblings, and 2 still living, Brenda Wix of Hopewell, Virginia and Jimmy Milam of Hopewell, Virginia; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
Mary was definitely the type to give you the shirt off of her back and then some. She always loved it when she could be of some help to someone. Mary had a huge child-like spirit. She loved so many things. She loved candies of all kinds, especially buttered popcorn taffy, she loved Gone With The Wind, collecting dolls, pretty figurines. She loved all kinds of pretty things, including taking care of her rose garden. She loved traveling. Especially to Tennessee, and going on cruises. She loved her two girls, her granddaughters, and her sons- in-law very much. But most of all she loved her husband Pat. Married at the young age of seventeen. They were the love of each other’s life. Pats passing left a huge hole in Mary’s heart. She now resides with the good Lord and her loving husband.
