She married her late husband, William Boaze, in 1953. They then moved their family to La Porte in 1964 where she was a homemaker caring for her family. She is remembered as a kind, gentle and patient mother who loved caring for and spending time with her children, grandchildren and family. Betty was an individual who also loved flowers, collecting anything owls, reading and watching sports on tv.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rowe and Willie Mae Ainsworth and husband Bill Boaze.
Betty is survived by her children: Vicki Smith and husband Andy, Mike Boaze and wife Melisa, Steve Boaze and wife Alicia; four grandsons; four great-grandchildren; two step-grandsons; four step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Jordan and husband Jerry, and Kathy Wagnon and husband Tommy, all of Marshall, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 9AM at Grand View Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 10AM at Grand View Memorial Park. Dr. Mark Redd will be officiating.
