beloved wife, mother and grandmother, closed this chapter of her life on Friday, October 8, 2010. Born on October 8, 1946 in West Virginia to George and Gloria Short, she moved with her family to Marietta, Ohio where she grew up. After graduating from high school she attended the Ohio University in Athens and graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in home economics. She and her first husband Philip Humphreys moved to Florida in 1971 where they started a family and where Judy was a homemaker. The family including two children, Amy and Adam, moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1977, where she had a successful career as an executive secretary for Phoenix Transit Co. In 1993, Judith met and married her soul mate, Richard V. Albery, M.D., with whom she traveled and enjoyed all that life had to offer. Her other loves included the piano, all of nature, sculpting and literature. There was a special place in her heart for her granddaughter Hannah Rose. Her spirited nature enhanced her love of playfulness and adventure. She will be sadly missed by her husband Dick; son, Adam; daughter, Amy and her husband Joseph Palmisano and his family, granddaughter Hannah; sister, Carol; brother, James; step children, Tara, Richard Jr. and Brooks. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews friends and extended family. Memorial services for Judith are scheduled for Saturday October 16, 2010, at 9:30 AM, Green Acres chapel of Light, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. The family will be receiving friends from 8:30 AM until service time.
