Jane Louise (Sullivan) Anderson, 60, of Lufkin, was born August 11, 1950 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Louise (Reynolds) and Louis Sullivan. She passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Anderson loved her family. Her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren were a bright spot in her life. She had been the major caretaker for her husband over the last 13 years. She worked many years for Texas Foundries in the shipping and purchasing departments and then as a homemaker in the latter years. She was an advocate of Veterans' rights and a co-founder of an organization here in Lufkin that will benefit many local people. One of her hobbies included antique collecting, but her passion was her love of animals, especially Shih Tzu dogs.
Survivors include her husband, Rickey Anderson of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Anne Anderson of Lindale; grandchildren, Kaley, Elexis, Shelby and Chloe; aunt, Betty Harrel and husband Wade of Ft. Worth; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.
