On July 1, 2011, Diane passed away early in the morning, at Kaiser hospital in Roseville, with her husband of 33 years at her side. She had been fighting an unknown disease over the past 18 months that had taken away the use of her Kidneys. On April 22 she was diagnosed with a condition called Transverse Myelitis and spent the next 72 days in the hospital courageously and relentlessly fighting to overcome the effects of this mysterious and devastating inflammation of the spinal cord that failed to respond to medical treatment. She will be unquestionably missed by her survivors: husband, Brannan, daughter Hollie/and Sean, their brand new granddaughter Penelope Lou, parents Ted and Estelle Breitmayer, sister Laurie/and Ron, brother Allen/and Kathe, nieces and nephews and in-laws, and many friends. Diane was born 3/26/49 in Portland, Oregon, but some of her best memories are from growing up in Glendora, CA. with her best friend Lyn, and her high school years at Campolindo High when she lived in Moraga, CA. After a couple of years in college, and working for Bechtel Corp in San Francisco, she spent the next 17 years working in a sales position for American Airlines, which included her transfer to the Sacramento downtown office in 1979. Later she opened the Fair Oaks sales office. Her favorite job was working in her Real Estate career starting with Prudential in 1998 in Folsom and El Dorado Hills, and then 10 years in the Gold River REMAX Gold office, where she excelled into the REMAX Hall of Fame. She loved her clients of whom so many became her friends. She enjoyed tennis, skiing, dance, decorating, shopping, and traveling, but most of all, being around nature. Her love for animals and the outdoors was never ending. A Celebration Of Life is planned for Diane for friends and relatives on Sept. 17, 11 AM at North Ridge Country Club, 7600 Madison Ave, Fair Oaks. Please RSVP @ 916-966-5100 or email [email protected]
