Olga Charlotte Andrews age 87, of Peculiar, Missouri, died on October 8, 2011. Olga was born on February 7, 1924, in Willmar, Minnesota. Her father, Ole Sharstrom, was born in Minnesota. Her mother, Charlotte Ooan, was born in Norway. Olga had 5 brothers and 2 sisters growing up in Willmar, Minnesota. Olga was always pretty and had beautiful hands. In her teen years she did hand modeling for magazines. Olga then moved to Bremerton, Washington, to live with her Uncle Arnt. She would ride the ferry to Seattle daily to work in the Boeing airplane factory with the B17s during World War II. Her job was to use the drill and she was referred to as "Rosy the Riveter" a common term for women who worked in the Defense Plants at that time. She lived with her husband of 25 1/2 years, Jerry Dunn, in Kansas City, Missouri, and they had 3 children. Olga was married to Carl Pack 24 1/2 years and they lived in Blue Springs until his death in 1989. Olga met Dell Andrews, who she considered "the Love of her Life" and they were married until his death in 2009. They lived in Camdenton at the Lake of the Ozarks, and later moved to Peculiar, Missouri to be closer to family as he fell ill. Del and Olga enjoyed being social. They loved to dance and attended many dances. They were both devout Catholic's and were very involved with their church gatherings. Olga and Del were "snowbirds" and would leave the lake in the fall and travel in their motor home to La Feria, Texas, where they stayed in a Motor Park for seniors where lots of dances and social activities were planned. They had many friends from all over the United States. They would also travel in the motor home to Minnesota where Olga was from and out to San Diego for her granddaughter's wedding. Olga and Dell were members of the VFW. Dell was the Commander of the American Legion where Olga was also a member. She was an apartment manager in Kansas City and Blue Springs, Missouri, for many years. She enjoyed crafts such as cross stitch and ceramics that she often did with friends and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Ole and Charlotte Sharstrom, and her older brothers Arthur, Victor and Harold. She is survived by her younger brothers Herbert and Arnie Sharstrom; her younger sisters Hazel Woltjer, and Georgia Windham; her children Vanessa Coakley, William Dunn and Richard Dunn; 9 grandchildren and 24 great grand children. Services will be held at St. Sabina's Catholic Church in Belton, Missouri, on Friday, October 28, 2011, with a 9:00am Visitation, a 10:00am Mass and lunch at 11:00am.There will be a 3pm Graveside Service held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo, where Olga will be reunited with her Love Del.
